The Dangerous House of Pretty Mbane
Today I went to the Adrienne Theater with some of my friends, and seeing a very amazing show The Dangerous House of Pretty Mbane. It is a small theater and the show emphasis the human’s talk, changing the scene frequently, I have to say there is a big difference with the show I have seen before.
I think it is more like a drama, the plot tightly around five protagonists, and as I anticipate, the five persons act their most to present the motion, the fact, the feeling, you can feel their talents about talking, laughing and everything. I can see the audience are all paying attention to the show, afraid missing something important.
I am so sorry about my bad listening, some of the parts I cannot understand the meaning of the story, some of the words the actor repeats frequently are “Africa, London, football”, also, “the yellow dog”, I know this is a story about Africa, and because Africa is a really poor country that is poorly educated, and there comes a new word, “corrective rape”, even I still a little confused about it.
The story is also about homosexual, how I feel surprised when I see two women kiss and love each other, even the other one is dead and she can only miss her, just like she is still lived. I never hold the oppose view about homosexual, and I think it’s human’s freedom which can’t be disturbed by others.
A really interesting experience I had today.
Experience about Philadelphia Museum of Art. #CSTU
Yesterday after I finished my classes, I went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art which is the third biggest museum in America, largely winning the attention of the art field. I always like to go to museum as I can have a chance to access human history and enjoy all kinds of form of arts. I paid $10 for the ticket with the student card, and then accessed very excited.
The first memorable art is the sun flower of van Gogh. I always dream of seeing Vincent van Gogh’s sunflower because I love it so much! I have a picture that is sunflower hung on my wall. Van gogh was influences by his father who was a missionary, and sunflower always towards sun which represents devout faith. Van gogh is a talent who broke the law of contrasting colors and created sunflower that largely shock the world. I got the information that this he finished this picture just for a short time with rarely rational repeated tracing, and after he died, his spirit was also regarded as the spirit of sunflower. He is my favorite artist, I am so crazy about his paintings. I feel why he is famous is that he pay his spirit into the painting, seeing the drawing just like seeing himself. No simulate others, no careful carve, he create arts by his talent, spirit and he won the success.
There are many amazing collections there, some ceramics and dinner-ware by aluminum and silver are showed one by one with amazing shapes and wonderful colors. And the paintings by many famous artists like Pablo Picasso even gave me a big surprise. I can’t wait to share with my friends with these amazing arts and I think it’s my fortune to enjoy such wonderful arts.

I think the reason these ceramics are famous not just because they are old and there shapes are unique and eye-catching, but also for there histories, which witness their origin, process and the meaningful stories. They represents the human history and the art in the old times. Our human-beings are creative because they can use their previous technology to create and think. And all of the artifacts are preserved well, just like telling a story about the human history at that period.
The last photo is my favorite. Look at the photo, you can see a woman is overlooking with her hand on the head, and around of this sculpture are amazing pictures drawn by artists all over the world. This picture is also like an art, the dark color leaves a secret and scared atmosphere.
To sum up, this experience left me a deep memory, and I really enjoy the artist atmosphere that Philadelphia Museum of Art left me. Great memory, great day!

The first piece: Art from a picture

The first one I want to describe the definition of art is this picture, the one when I first saw it I was captured . It is innovative and totally catch my eyes. It is a big phone with irregular shape, yeah, more like an iPhone. You can see there is a flight in the phone, but actually it is only a window sight from another flight which near to the flight landing on the ground. Yes, it is another angle to enjoy this picture. I like this picture surely because it’s innovative angle for the artist, also, it is not a complicated picture but is regarded as a extremely simple one, you see the one only with simple color and simple objects that used in the drawing. I can also guess the artist’s inspiration comes from a journey or a business as the flight is needed. And it comes accidentally maybe just a glance at the window in the plane. From it, we can see many new ideas and inspiration comes from our life, if we pay attention to small details, we can also find many interesting things. And art is not mysterious, everything comes from life, derives from life.

The third piece: Music art: Careless Whisper by Kenny G
This is one of my favorite song. It is also the theme song from an American film The Age of innocence. It is surely a really old song but it’s classic. I still remember when I was young, I love this music even I don’t know what it means. But the rhythm deeply carve in my heart which can not be removed. It leaves me an unprecedented experience, from which I can indulge my self into a world without worry and bother. That’s amazing and I really regard it as a art. A piece of art for hearing.Thanks to the applying of saxophone, it makes the rhythm more gorgeous and amazing.
In conclusion, from what I have concluded, I believe art is the one that you can feeling but can’t describe exactly. Art needs you feeling by heart, I think my taste in art is that I am in flavor of classic, innovative one and the one can make me feel amazing and comfortable. All of them are regarded as arts in my mind.
